Managing Directors

Chuck Moffitt

 

Over more than two decades, Chuck Moffitt has been a CEO, COO or CFO in sixteen companies in diverse industries, combining skills in marketing, finance, strategic planning, and personnel management. He has also served on nine boards of directors, arranged numerous mergers and equity financings, and structured senior debt packages of up to $100 million.

Mr. Moffitt is a member of the Turnaround Management Association, the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors, the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Commercial Finance Association, and the Association for Corporate Growth.

 

Prior to founding C.T. Moffitt & Company, Chuck served as Executive Assistant to the Mayor (Deputy Mayor) of the City of Los Angeles directly responsible for policy guidance of twenty city departments with 18,000 personnel and budgets in excess of $4 billion. Earlier in his career, Chuck was a Vice President at First Interstate Bank where he managed major corporate relationships including Times Mirror, Southern California Edison and Mattel.

From 1967-1975, Chuck held positions in the Federal Government as Special Assistant to the Majority Leadership of the U.S. House of Representatives and earlier as a Foreign Service Officer with the Department of State, serving as U.S. Consul in Recife, Brazil, and as Chief of Staff to the U.S. Ambassador to Brazil.

Chuck is a graduate of UCLA. He earned his M.A. at the University of Washington and pursued doctoral studies at the University of California, Berkeley.

David V. Adams, Jr.

 

In a near twenty year career as an executive and consultant, David Adams has served in the role of CEO, CFO or President of six turnaround companies, in industries ranging from automotive aftermarket products to construction. He continues to serve on the board of directors of two of those companies. David's consulting experience includes consumer products, Internet services, manufacturing, automotive, real estate and off-shore procurement. David's expertise includes accounting, financial analysis, strategic planning, merger integration, turnaround management and marketing.

Earlier in his career, David managed a sizeable real estate portfolio for an investment company with which he continues an affiliation. In that connection, he managed thirty multi-unit apartment, office, retail and industrial properties in four states; analyzed feasibility of new acquisitions including pro forma financials, site visits, due diligence, closing documents and loan agreements; and was responsible for 150 field employees and all construction including tenant improvements and property renovations.

 

Mr. Adams is currently the CEO of Laserod Technologies and of Rivenrock Capital.

Mr. Adams graduated with a BA degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1991 and earned his MBA with honors from the University of Southern California.
